Integration Methods

PagePilot can be integrated into a web application using two methods:

1. Script Tag Installation

Involves adding a script tag to the web application
No build or development setup required
Quick and easy integration

Best suited for:

Static HTML websites
Landing pages
CMS-based platforms

2. NPM Installation

Involves installing the PagePilot package using npm
Requires adding code inside the application (e.g., React)
More control over when and where tooltips are triggered

Best suited for:

React, Angular, or modern web applications
Dynamic or multi-page applications

Credentials & Configuration

To integrate PagePilot, the following is required:

Application ID (auto-generated when workspace is created)
Access to PagePilot dashboard
Integration script or npm package

The Application ID uniquely connects your web application with PagePilot.

Limitations

Script Tag method offers limited control in dynamic applications
Tooltips depend on correct element selectors (ID/class)
Target elements must be present in the DOM
Incorrect Application ID or configuration will prevent tooltips from appearing
